| 9) We help companies with Crisis Management |

We respond to a variety of “Critical Incidents” at the workplace – accidents, violence, death, layoffs, etc. – to support and retain employees and teams and increase productivity and morale. First responders such as police and firefighters learned the hard way that not helping their employees deal with critical events often led good employees to quit, or to sue, or to develop post-trauma issues and symptoms. They learned there are things teams can do to help individuals and teams recover. They implemented a range of services called "Critical Incident Stress Management" that ranged from full-scale Debriefings to Defusings to Peer Support and Education. Now other businesses are learning from their successes and providing a similar level of services to support their employees after a robbery, a workplace violence incident, or a disaster or death. Calling WorkLife Hawaii after such an incident could be a CEO's most important phone call. We will make suggestions on how to deal with the emotional aspects of an incident to lessen the chance of a "disaster on top of a disaster." We will provide you with immediate guidance and materials, we will talk with you about ways we can come in and take care of employees and teams, and we will work together to help in the ongoing recovery process. We help individuals recover from crises, and help teams deal appropriately with overwhelming events, so they get back to work faster, you retain good employees, and employees know that this is a company that cares about them and their safety and their emotions. We hope your company never has to use this part of our inclusive services, but if you do, we'll be ready to help. |
