7) We help companies with Reorganizations Print E-mail

With today's economy, one of the services we are doing more than ever is helping companies cope with reorganizations, including layoffs. When our companies are facing a layoff, they often call us and ask our advice on how to handle the human side of this. We offer whatever support we can, from sending handouts to provide (to those being laid off, those doing the layoffs, and the survivors of the layoffs), to coaching leadership teams on how to handle the actual layoff process to assist employees, teams, and managers. When a company does this thoughtfully, it increases productivity, morale, and a sense in the company that they are doing the right thing. When a company does this poorly, it can increase risks from lowered productivity to workplace violence and suicide.

When companies reorganize, or there is a change in leadership, we can also be helpful. We can coach leaders in how to handle the human side of these changes, as well as provide trainings to staff on how to cope with organizational change. Our expertise is in business change, and we might be able to help provide your company with some feedback or insights you might not have thought of that will not only serve employees, but save the company more money that it paid for EAP services!
