In Hawaii, more than most places it seems, employers are truly interested in helping their employees have better lives. Yes, they are concerned about the bottom line. Yes, they are concerned about risk management and the impact that a troubled employee's behavior may have on many aspects in the company. Hawaii employers are also keenly aware of the impact that a troubled employee has on everything. An island is a small place, and we are all interconnected in a variety of ways. Ohana is not just a word or a concept, it is a way of life. As companies grow, the CEO can't take care of all the problems of their employees any more. The HR professionals can't take care of all the needs of their growing staff. A growing company gets to the point that to continue doing business, it makes sense to find another way to help employees with the wide range of issues that get in the way of being happy, healthy, productive people. That's when companies start looking into finding an EAP. That's when they call WorkLife Hawaii. There is a reason that our satisfaction rate stays around 99%. There is a reason that many of our employers stay with us for many years. What we do at WorkLife Hawaii makes a difference to employees, and they are usually thankful to us, and to their company for providing a service that helps them.
But Hawaii employers seem to know it is more important than that. Helping their employees have a better life is just the pono thing to do. |
